Hi Stef, Thanks for the beautiful heartfelt evening in Venray! Yes, we shall sing so long we breathe. You were right about the timing of Sanne's version of Door de Wind. I was back then in my class at the International School in Eindhoven, with students still wearing masks and the autumn-winter storms had returned. Loneliness and exile were still felt by my students. I introduced Sanne's version as the most Dutch song our expat students would probably ever hear at that moment. You could hear a pin drop in the classroom and as the Dutch say, "Door de Wind" went "Door merg en been". A song leads a life of its own, finding homes that receive, need and cherish it. Thanks Brother for all the songs you pass on to us.Your friend - Sid Bachrach . Always welcome in our home.
